We set out to release 4 services to production this month. Then reality happened — messaging needed fixing, payments needed securing, and the timeline shifted. Here is the honest story of what happened, why it matters, and why your skills and time should earn you money.
If you received our last newsletter titled "Q2 2026 Roadmap: What's Next for the TCTF Portal", you will recall we set ambitious goals for this month: release 3–4 services to production as we prepare for launch later this year. Those services are the Communication Service (video/audio calls and notifications), the Achievements Service (tracking your activity and rewarding you with points over time), the Activity Service (your personal history of everything you do on the platform), and the File Upload Service (managing uploaded files and documents). The month started with adrenaline. We were ready to go. And then — as it always does when you are building something real — the plan met reality.

I paused to look at the frontend — to really see what we are building — and something clicked. Our core mission on this platform is to help people fulfill their potential and earn without being limited by borders or geography. That realization shifted my focus immediately.
I needed to make sure Messaging works end-to-end before fine-tuning the backend, because we have added sophisticated features there — voice messaging, real-time translation, and more. As I tested, I discovered we need to regulate usage based on each user's subscription type. And that pulled me all the way back to Payment, Wallet, and Billing.
An unexpected twist — but a necessary one. Because here is the truth: if you cannot earn money on this platform, we cannot sustain it. This is not a scheme. This is not a platform where you scroll endlessly and someone else profits from your attention. Only your skills and your time can earn you money here.
💡If you cannot earn money on the platform, we cannot sustain it. This is not a scheme — only your skills and your time can earn you money here.

So I switched my attention to securing the Payment and Subscription infrastructure. Getting that right gives us confidence that the moment you are onboard, you can start using your skills to earn.
This is not just about tech professionals. A lot of people have shown interest in wanting to earn from the valuable time they spend on social media. Think about it — you spend hours every day on platforms that profit from your attention, your content, your engagement. You create value. You build communities. You share expertise. But the platform keeps the revenue and gives you nothing in return.
Cometbid Social flips that model. Your skills — whether you are a developer, a designer, a writer, a translator, a project manager, a community builder, or any professional — should earn you money. Your time has value. Your expertise has value. And a platform that respects that value should make earning as natural as connecting.
Here is something that hit me while building the wallet. I was working on the interface — the dollar sign, the balance display, the transaction history — and it suddenly occurred to me: does this mean someone in Africa will own a Dollar Wallet from day one? A wallet with real earning potential, connected to a global marketplace of skills and projects? How I wish I had this kind of platform growing up. But wishing is not enough — we are building it. And with your support, it will become a reality. Stay connected.

On Cometbid Social, earning is not an afterthought bolted onto a social network. It is woven into the fabric of the platform. When you connect with someone who needs your expertise, you can propose a project right there. The project is broken into milestones — discrete deliverables with clear acceptance criteria and agreed-upon payment amounts.
Before work begins on any milestone, the client funds the escrow. The money is committed. It is real. You are not working on faith — you are working with financial certainty. When you deliver and the client approves, the payment releases instantly to your wallet. No minimum withdrawals. No arbitrary delays. No middleman taking an unfair cut.
This is not just for developers. A graphic designer can propose a branding project. A content writer can take on a blog series. A translator can offer localization services. A community manager can run an engagement campaign. The platform does not care what your skill is — it cares that you have one and that someone is willing to pay for it.
The entire journey — from discovering someone's profile to getting paid for completed work — happens without leaving the platform. No switching to Upwork for the gig. No switching to Stripe for the invoice. No switching to PayPal for the payment. One platform. One workflow. One wallet you control.
🔒Money is committed before work starts. Escrow protects both sides. When you deliver and the client approves, payment releases instantly. No minimum withdrawals, no arbitrary delays.
We keep hearing the same thing from people who discover what we are building: 'I want to earn from the time I spend online.' These are not all developers. They are designers, writers, educators, consultants, translators, marketers, and community builders. They are people who have skills that others need — but no single platform that lets them network, find work, and get paid in one place.
LinkedIn connects you but does not pay you. Upwork pays you but is not a social network. Facebook and X profit from your content but share nothing with you. Cometbid Social is the first platform where connecting with people and earning money from those connections happen in the same place. You do not leave to find work. You do not leave to get paid.
And it works across borders. Multi-currency wallets. Transparent conversion rates. Bank transfers or mobile money withdrawals. Whether you are in Lagos, London, or Lahore — your skills have the same earning potential. Geography does not limit your income. Only your expertise and your willingness to deliver quality work determine what you earn.
🌍It is not just about tech. Designers, writers, educators, translators, marketers — anyone with skills that others need can earn on Cometbid Social. Geography does not limit your income.

I had to convince myself I can still meet the deadline. Honestly, it is tight. The pivot to Payment and Subscription infrastructure was not planned for this month — but it was the right call. You cannot build a platform about earning and leave the earning infrastructure for later. It has to be solid from day one.
Hopefully, I can catch up this month or make up for it early next month. The 4 services we planned — Communication, Achievements, Activity, and File Upload — are not abandoned. They are queued. But Payment and Subscription had to come first because everything else depends on it.
Soon, you will be able to test our Payment Workflow and see how it ties into your activities on the platform. We believe this will reshape the social media landscape and open a new path forward — one where your time online is not just consumed, but compensated. One where your skills are not just displayed, but deployed. One where connecting with people leads to earning from those connections.
Cometbid Social will get you there. Stay tuned.

Building something real means the plan will change. Timelines will shift. Priorities will rearrange themselves based on what matters most. This month, what mattered most was ensuring that when you arrive on Cometbid Social, you can earn from day one. Not next quarter. Not after some future update. Day one. That is the commitment, and that is why Payment and Subscription took priority over everything else. The services will come. The features will ship. But the foundation — the ability to earn from your skills and your time — that had to be right first. Thank you for being on this journey with us. The best is ahead.
